Online Cello Tuner

Use your microphone to detect pitch in real time. The tuner shows the note name, cents deviation, and a musical staff with an animated note head so you always know exactly where you are.

Keep steady time at any tempo.

Online Metronome

Set any BPM from 20 to 240, tap the tempo button to find your natural pulse, choose from four subdivision modes, and watch the animated beat dots keep you honest through every scale and étude.

Practice intonation with a real cello sound.

Cello Drone Player

Select any of the 12 chromatic notes and play a sustained drone recorded on a real cello. Loop it continuously while you work on scales, shifting, or repertoire — your ears will thank you.

Train your ear — 10 progressive levels.

Pitch Recognition Game

Listen to a note played on a synthesised cello tone and identify it from a set of choices. Start with the four open strings and progress through diatonic notes, accidentals, and the full chromatic scale. Scores and personal bests are saved locally.

Fresh cello exercises at your level, every time.

Sight Reading Generator

Generate cello-specific sight-reading exercises across 10 difficulty levels and 6 focus modes — from open strings to advanced shifting. Clean VexFlow notation renders instantly in your browser. Play back the exercise, adjust tempo, and download a print-ready PDF practice sheet.

Discover your level from your repertoire.

Cello Level Finder

Enter the pieces and études you are currently working on — one per line — and the Level Finder will match them against 250+ curated repertoire entries to determine your cello level. Fuzzy search handles misspellings and partial titles. Includes links to Cellopedia's YouTube recordings.

Explore the upcoming iOS practice companion.

Cellopedia App Preview

An interactive prototype of the Cellopedia iOS app — tap through the full onboarding flow, browse Learning Paths, open the Today dashboard, and explore the built-in Tools hub. All 11 screens are live and clickable inside a realistic iPhone shell.

How to get the most out of these tools

Use the tuner to check open strings before every practice session. Set the metronome 10–20 BPM below your target tempo and build accuracy before speed. Run the drone player in the background while you practise scales — your ear will naturally lock onto the tonal centre.
